My “non-classical” music was so different from my other works, that I had to find a way to clearly separate them. Ten years ago I chose pseudonym “Żak” (pronounced similarly to French “Jacques”). Ever since, my pop oriented electronica/world music has been released as “Jakub Żak”, while anything else under my real name “Jakub Ciupiński”.
